Sales Operations Lead

Who you are:

You’re an experienced sales operations leader with a passion for continuously improving processes and systems that drive and sustain strategic revenue growth. You have experience partnering with sales and marketing leaders and cross-functional teams to drive operational advancement for an enterprise sales organization. You have a strong understanding of sales processes, tools, methodologies, and reporting.

As Sales Operations Lead, you’ll report to the SVP, Corporate Solutions NA and play a key role in growing NLI’s business.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Sales Leadership to define and continuously improve sales processes internally to maximize sales productivity and drive revenue growth.

  • Support the implementation and compliance of new business processes and reporting to increase sales efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Handles sales incentive compensation administration, including the preparation of commission reports for Finance and Management approval and clarifying the application of sales compensation program policies and procedures.

  • Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement. Works closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Assists sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.

  • Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the sales organization. Recommends revisions to existing reports, or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed. Supports the implementation of enabling technologies, including CRM. Monitors the sales organization’s compliance with required standards for maintaining CRM data. Works closely with sales management to optimize the effectiveness of the firm’s technology investments.

  • Partners with Sales Leadership to run pipeline and forecast review meetings.

  • Systematize best practices in the sales process and continuously improve critical workflows.

  • Identify tools, systems, and process needs for the Sales team and work with other Ops team members and cross-functional partners to address.

  • Define and embed critical metrics to guide the team’s behaviors and evaluate progress.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • 6+ years of experience in sales operations, preferably within high-growth environments

  • Experience supporting enterprise sales organizations and successfully driving management in a complex, changing organization

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Hubspot CRM

  • Experience with managing systems integrations

  • Ability to work with a diverse team and drive change across functional and business boundaries

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated, experience working independently, and able to handle multiple competing priorities
